HomeWorks Connect Makes Progress

HomeWorks Connect, our fiber-to-the-home high-speed internet service, is moving along in Phase 1.

We expect to build service to our first retail customers in September; meanwhile, we’ve had crews out engineering and inspecting our power lines to make sure they’re ready for the addition of fiber optic cable when construction starts in May.

Construction is underway on Phase 1 of our fiber-to-the-home business; Phase 1 includes the parts of Clinton, Eaton, and Ionia counties in our Grand Ridge, Chief Okemos, Divine, Eagle, Orange, Route 66 and Oneida zones. Our goal is to reach ALL HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative member-owners in the next five years with this high-speed internet option.
