Vacation Hold Service
If you choose to spend part of the year in another location, you can put your HomeWorks Connect service(s) on Vacation Hold at a lower monthly cost.
- To qualify for Vacation Hold service, your account must be active for a minimum of 30 days before the start of the vacation hold.
- Vacation Hold can be set for a minimum of 60 days, and may be used for a maximum of 180 days out of any 12-month period.
Simply send us the information we need via SmartHub message, or call us at 800-668-3413:
- The name on your account
- Where email should be sent, if different
- The planned starting date of your vacation hold, and
- The planned end date of your vacation hold.
Internet service: Vacation Hold costs $5.00 per month. If you prefer, you can turn your modem in when you leave and eliminate your monthly fees entirely. With this option, there is a one-time service call/reconnect fee when you return.
Landline telephone service: Vacation Hold costs $10.00 per month (plus applicable taxes) for a “soft disconnect,” which reserves your telephone number. Returning your modem to avoid the monthly hold fee will result in the loss of your telephone number; there is a one-time service call/reconnect fee when you return and we issue you a new telephone number.
NOTE: If you have discounted Lifeline telephone service, you cannot put your account on Vacation Hold.
